Let Your Smile Shine with Natural-Looking Porcelain Veneers

Natural-Looking Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers are thin custom-made porcelain facings to fit your mouth, and are individually attached to the existing teeth to improve their appearance. Developed to look like a natural tooth, they are used to cover stains, chips, decays, to close gaps, or any irregularities. They are durable and extremely versatile.

This procedure usually requires two steps:

  • The first appointment: the teeth are prepared to accommodate the Porcelain Veneers, and a thin layer of the enamel from the front surface will be removed. Next, we will take impressions and temporary Porcelain Veneers may be placed in the meantime, to allow our patients to trial the planned design in their mouths.
  • About two weeks later, the customized Porcelain Veneers will be permanently bonded to the teeth. We also see our patients a few days later to check all is well when they’ve had some time to use them.

The advantage of this type of treatment is that you can place one or two porcelain veneers strategically, achieving the desired aesthetic symmetry and effect that typically requires months of orthodontic treatment.

NOTE: a thorough examination is essential before undergoing any cosmetic enhancement. This ensures that all necessary restorative work, as well as hygiene and gum health, are addressed, laying a solid foundation for your beautiful new smile.

Bridges

Restore your strength and confidence

This procedure can change the way your mouth looks and functions, and also redesign the appearance of your face.

Bridge is a dental restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth. It extends across a toothless area and is typically made up of an artificial tooth fused between 2 crowns. It is held firmly in place by your own teeth on each side of the missing one(s) or by dental implants.

We provide many different materials of bridges, such as porcelain with all different types, gold, and alloys. They are small and lightweight, providing excellent comfort while speaking, chewing and eating. You can have them removable or fixed. The difference between them is that the removable you can take out to clean them, while the fixed ones are attached right to your jaw or under your gums and only the dentist can remove it.

It is required a complete comprehensive exam and x-rays to discuss your options and make the right choice for you.

Crowns

Beautiful, natural-looking smile

Dental crowns are small caps used to repair damage or strengthen a weakened tooth. At Bella Smile, we use advanced technologies and techniques to make beautiful, natural-looking crowns.

Tre procedure consists in attach them over the tooth, and they are carefully designed to match the shape and color of your natural teeth. Usually they are made from porcelain, they are very strong and, with proper care, crowns can last for many years – even decades.

Typically takes two visits to place. During your first appointment, Dr. Modesto will prepare your teeth and take an impression of your tooth to go to the lab. Next, she may provide you a temporary crown until your permanent one is ready.

You will be able to live your life normally, eating all of the foods you enjoy, no matter how hard it is to bite, besides that you will have a smile to be proud of.

Custom Dentures & Partials

Enjoy life again!

We understand how difficult it can be when you are living with an incomplete smile, and you are probably struggling with tooth loss whether they were removed or fall out.

Dentures are the reconstruction and replacement of damaged or lost dental elements. They are customized to fit comfortably in the mouth to replace the missing teeth, and they can be either complete or partial.

This procedure is responsible for restoring the patient’s masticatory, aesthetic and phonetic characteristics and functions, in addition to recovering and protecting joint functions. I’s a good solution to allow you to enjoy life again.

During a consultation with Dr. Modesto, she will discuss your options, and together you will decide the best option for you.

Dental Implants

A smile to be proud!

Fortunately, dental implants are now relatively easy, affordable and they are identical to your real teeth, as long as they are placed by qualified dentists at a leading office, like Bella Smile.

They are artificial tooth roots, similar in shape to screws. When they are placed in your jawbone bellow the gum, they connect with your natural bone, becoming a strong base for supporting one or more artificial teeth, called the crowns. It is necessary having healthy gums and bones to support it.

This is not only an issue that must be taken to the aesthetic side, but the lack of one or more teeth can compromise chewing, speech and even the movements of the mouth. In addition, it will prevent resorption shrinkage of the underlying jawbone, lateral movement of adjacent teeth and over-eruption of opposite tooth. Because of this, it is fundamental that this procedure is done properly by skilled professionals.

The high quality of services guarantees long-term success after surgery with conventional oral hygiene care.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Restore your natural look.

This general dentistry service offers a number of benefits to patients. It is a quick and painless treatment option that can maintain the natural appearance of your smile. Here, at Bella Smile, we can treat your cavities efficiently and with lasting results.

During your visit, before start the process, we will administer a local anesthesia to numb the gums around your tooth. After that, we will remove the decayed portion of the tooth and fill this area applying the composite resin, which is designed to look like your natural teeth. It can also be done with gold, porcelain and amalgam.

Most people still prefer the natural-looking teeth, and the color of the composites can be closely matched to the color of existing teeth. It is well suited for use in front teeth, and whether you are laughing, speaking, or yawning, all anyone will see is your beautiful, white teeth.

This procedure can last for 10 years or more if you properly care. Be sure to make your daily oral hygiene correctly, and attend a dental exam and cleaning twice a year.

Anxiety-Free Dentistry

We dealing with your fears.

Anxiety-Free Dentistry is an increasingly popular way for people to face the “dreaded” chair.

Many people hesitate to have regular consultations, which ends up worsening the general condition of the mouth, but visiting your dentist doesn’t have to be anxiety-inducing!

There are some reasons why individuals are afraid to go to the dentist, and the most common are:
Have had a previous bad experience.
Uncomfortable with the chair and the office’s direct lighting.
Sensitive teeth and gums
Cannot stand the noise of dental equipment.
Don’t like to get numb
Fearful of needles and drills

If you have suffered one of the items listed above, don’t worry about it anymore. Our supportive team make it priority to guarantee that your visit is a smooth and relaxing as it can be, listening to your concerns and explaining the type of treatment recommended. One of our options of sedation is the nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and you can choose this option if you desire.

We work with face-driven approach and understand how important It is to have an open and honest conversation, which will ensure that you will be completely satisfied with your results.

Digital X-rays & Intraoral Pictures

The basis of all our practice is always to provide our patients with the high-quality care they deserve, offering the latest technologies and equipment to keep their mouths healthy.

DIGITAL X-RAYS

The digital radiography makes much more straightforward to identify any problems on your teeth in just a few seconds, providing quicker and better results. The advantage of Digital X-Rays is that once the image is on-screen, we can simply adjust if necessary, enlarging any areas which require close inspection.

This innovative way is more efficient and safer, and our equipment is exceptionally well maintained, taking every precaution to keep our patients secure during all treatments.

INTRAORAL PICTURES

This powerful tool is an essential tiny digital camera that allow us to capture detailed images of areas difficult to reach inside your mouth. Because it is lightweight, compact and easy to manipulate, they can effectively find out any hidden teeth problems, such as cavities, gum conditions, plaque, and chipped tooth, that cannot be seen by the naked eye.

An intraoral camera does not cause any pain or discomfort to the patient and has no side effects. We can also review these images with you to show your problems in your oral health and hygiene or how the treatment is progressing.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Enhance Your Beautiful Smile!

A smile that matches perfectly on your face and makes you look younger, happy and confident. Our range of treatments focus specifically towards perfecting and boosting the beautiful teeth of our patients.

Cosmetic dentists are artists and they work with you to develop a treatment plan that suits better for you. If your teeth are stained, discolored, worn, chipped, broken, misaligned, misshapen, or have gaps between them, they can provide you a “smile makeover”, improving your appearance through the best and high-quality procedures, such as bonding, veneers, whitening, reshaping, and crowns.

Teeth Whitening

Be happy, Be bright, Be you!

Having whiter teeth, like those toothpaste advertisements, is the desire of many people. And that dream can come true!

With a highly professional teeth whitening services we ensure impressive results, in a minimally invasive way. We will guide you through the latest procedures, discuss your preferences, lifestyle factors, and any previous experiences before recommending your whitening treatment plan.

The treatments are safe and work because the product is based on hydrogen peroxide, which when in contact with the surface of the teeth can break the pigmented molecules, dissociating them into smaller molecules and making the tooth lighter.

We offer 2 different methods to suit any level of whitening choices:

Custom Whitening Trays: A personalized trays will be designed especially for you, after which send them home with a bleaching gel to follow the protocols in the comfort of your own home. After just 3 days, you’ll begin to notice the difference!

Zoom Whitening: This in-office treatment takes approximately 2 hours in our office. We’ll also take impressions for custom trays so you can finish the process at home. Better yet, the custom trays are included in the Zoom fee!

The benefits of these techniques are that not only does it offer greater whitening power, but also includes professional supervision, faster effects, and longer-lasting results.

It is important to mention that both procedures are more effective after a professional tooth cleaning. This is usually the first step in the process. Our knowledgeable hygienist will ensure you have a comfortable cleaning session.

Composite Bonding

Smile make over you deserve!

A transformation starts at the first consultation where we discuss about what patients don’t like about their teeth, and what type of smile they desire.

The benefits of this procedure are extensive, and we can use dental bonding to repair the teeth that are cracked, broken, decayed or discolored. Also enhance the shape and the size of your teeth, close gaps between them, post orthodontics treatment, post periodontal treatment, cosmetic alternatives, and for receding gums.

In general, it is a very simple procedure that provides a great solution for aesthetical improvements, and it is one of the least expensive cosmetic treatments available. It is painless and (usually) does not require anesthesia, normally takes just one office visit, and your teeth will be stronger and your smile brighter.

Porcelain Veneers

Designed teeth that change lives!

The confidence that a beautiful smile provides makes a lasting impact on everyone around you. We can help you to look rejuvenated, and boost your self-esteem!

Veneers are thin custom-made porcelain facings to fit your mouth, and are individually attached to the existing teeth to improve their appearance. Developed to look like a perfect natural tooth, they are used to cover stains, chips, decays, to close gaps, or any irregularities. They are durable and extremely versatile.

This procedure usually requires two visits. On the first appointment, the teeth are prepared to accommodate the veneer, and a thin layer of the enamel from the front surface will be removed. Next, we will take impressions and temporary veneers may be placed in the meantime, to give our patients the opportunity to trial the planned design in their own mouths. About two weeks later, the customized veneers will be permanently bonded to the teeth. We also see our patients a few days later to check all is well when they’ve had some time to use them.

The benefit of this kind of treatment is that you can strategically place just one or two porcelain veneers and quickly achieve the beauty symmetry you desire, and have an effect that traditionally needs months of orthodontic therapy.

Bear in mind that before any cosmetic service starts a checkup is necessary. Any recommended restoration, hygiene and gum disease need to be addressed.

Extractions

We will always do everything possible to preserve your natural teeth, so we go through a deep examination to make the right decision for you. Unfortunately, there are times when the only option left is to extract a tooth.

It is understandable that a tooth removal can cause a great deal of anxiety, but we ensure that we work with modern technologies and techniques in order to remove teeth with very little discomfort. At Bella Smile we take every precaution and follow every step to delivery you a comfortable, pain-free, and stress-free as possible treatment.

There are some reasons where a tooth-drawing might be necessary, including suffering from severe infection, excessive decay, and overcrowding teeth. Wisdom teeth, those large back teeth and the last to arrive, is also a common situation that may result in an extraction, because they can overcrowd your mouth and cause serious problems in the future.

Normally extractions are simple, straightforward procedures. A local anesthesia will be applied, and the correct tools will be used to gently remove it – nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is another option if you desire. It will prevent you from feeling any discomfort or pain.

Periodontal Cleanings

The earlier you start, the better the outcome.

This fundamental procedure in our lives consists in cleaning your teeth thoroughly, removing tartar (mineralized plaque) that may show up even with careful brushing and flossing, especially in areas that are difficult to reach – including underneath your gum line.

Many people find it difficult to maintain a consistent routine, and keeping up with your oral hygiene may seem overwhelming some times. Unfortunately, when people fall behind, they often develop severe dental issues that could have been avoided with timely care.

Over time, that dirt and bacteria can build up on the surface of your teeth, and depending on the severity, these things can lead to serious problems such as tooth decay and gingivitis. Because of this, it’s recommended to come twice a year to our office for a routine cleaning and exam. It will allow us to detect early signs of mouth health problems and we will be able to prevent them to becoming painful and costly.

The mission of Bella Smile is to help patients achieve and maintain optimal conditions, and we are committed to work with you to ensure you have the time and resources to get the dental care you deserve. Everybody deserves to have a bright, healthy smile.

Periodontics & Gum Disease

  • Keeping your smile for life!

Gum disease is an infection of the structure surround the teeth – including the gum, the bones, the roots and the ligaments – caused by the lack of oral hygiene and the accumulation of bacterial plaques. It is the most common disease in mankind and the main cause of tooth loss. Even at its most mild level, it can affect quality of life.

The most well-known diseases are Gingivitis and Periodontics.
Gingivitis is the inflammation of the superficial soft tissue supporting the tooth, and the symptoms include redness, bleeding when you brush, swollen gums, constant bad breath and bad taste in the mouth. This is the early stage to set a periodontitis, although not all cases progress to that, if the proper care is taken in advance. It means that it can be reversible and may be treated with help of hygiene sessions and improved of oral daily care.

Periodontitis involves the deeper supporting structures including bone destruction, and sadly the damage of periodontitis is irreversible, but the disease can be treated with properly care.

The biggest problem is that most people are often unaware they have gum disease, because sometimes it doesn’t hurt. Accumulation of tartar sometimes is invisible to white, sticky film that forms your teeth. They form above and below the gum line, and this the major reason of gum disease. But some other number of factors can contribute and aggravate the condition, these include:

  • Poor oral hygiene
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol
  • Diabetes
  • Advanced Age
  • Low immunity
  • Dry Mouth
  • Hormonal changes – related to pregnancy, menstrual cycle, puberty and birth control pills
  • Viral and fungal infections
  • Stress
  • Lack of sleep
  • Nutrition deficiencies – calcium, vitamin C and B

Regular visits are crucial to the health of your teeth and gums.
