These Dental Appointment ‘Hacks’ Make Life Easier

Visiting your dentist regularly is something that is often easier said than done. Getting a convenient appointment for yourself or a family member can be challenging.

But these dental appointment “hacks” can make it a little easier for 2022.

Book Early

First, don’t wait until the new year to book your dental appointments for 2022. Our schedulers are taking calls right now and the appointment roster is already filling up.

Things like regular cleanings, dental exams, and other non-emergency visits can be made well in advance. So why not call now to book all of your family’s routine appointments for next year? That way you are essentially guaranteed to get the times and dates that are most convenient for you. And you can reserve them before they are snatched up by other patients.

Navigating Busiest Times

The busiest times of year for any dental office are August and December. Why? Appointments in August tend to be hard to get because parents need to get their children seen before they can start milestone years in their education, such as first grade and freshman year of high school or college. Many, if not most, schools require proof of dental examination before students can start these grades. And a lot of parents wait until the last minute to make these appointments so the late summer schedule always fills up fast.

December is the other busy month because many dental insurance policies offer benefits that expire at the end of the calendar year. So lots of patients will want to schedule things like cleanings, exams, and other routine appointments while they are still covered by their insurance.

So if you want to make appointments for yourself or your family in August or December, the two busiest months of the whole year, the time to call is right now.

Schedule ‘Two-Fers’

If you have children, you can maximize convenience by scheduling multiple appointments at the same time. This kind of “two-for-one” appointments minimize the number of trips you have to make to the dental office while ensuring your kids get the dental care they need.
